Stage Notes

Malcolm Wilson lost over four minutes on stage four when he rolled his MG Metro 6R4.

Markku Alén crashed out of the lead on stage 35 at the same corner as Malcolm Wilson did on the first day. He managed to get back on the road but lost the lead to the two Peugeots of Salonen and Kankkunen.
