PEUGEOT'S
Marcus Gronholm and Timo Rautiainen hold a 27 second lead
over the Subaru Impreza of Tommi Makinen and Kaj Lindstrom at
the end of the first leg of the Swedish International Rally.
After
Citroen's Sebastien Loeb set fastest time on the opening
stage, Gronholm took command on the second test - Rammen 1.
Three fastest times during the leg ensured the top spot for
the World Champion while Makinen ends the leg in second
position, just 3.8 seconds ahead of Richard Burns and Robert
Reid.
Harri
Rovanpera and Risto Pietilainen are fourth while Juuso
Pykalisto and Esko Mertsalmi are fifth in a privateer Peugeot.
Four Peugeot 206 World Rally Cars fill the top five places.
